ISLA IXTAPA (Across from Club Med & 10 Minute walk from the ferry)  This is one of my favorite day trip options when visiting Ixtapa.  You can take a 10 minute ferry that takes you out to this little island that is surrounded by beauty above water as well as below water.  On Isla Ixtapa, choose from three amazing beaches and wade in the crystal clear waters of the Pacific. Snorkelling, shopping, eating, drinking and swimming in the clear waters is a must!

IXTAPA BEACHES -  Of course when choosing a Mexican vacation destination you’ll want to choose a place with beautiful beaches.  In Ixtapa, you’ll have exactly that.  On the Ixtapa beaches, you can simply soak up the ocean breeze or take part in some of the more active options such as horseback riding, snorkeling, and windsurfing.

Accommodations
The 298 enlarged rooms, including 15 family suites, offer many comfort options to suit a diversity of needs. All are equipped with flat screen TVs, internet access and high quality amenities. Refurbished bathrooms evoke the 1940s. All spaces, whether private or shared, create convivial yet tranquil atmospheres to relax body and mind. The Club & Deluxe Rooms are to be found in  three buildings and are located at on the end of these buildings. This accommodation is offered also as a two bedroom connecting.  The suites located in the Sol building are ideal for couples and families. Extra amenities reserved to this building, from the private beach to the special attentions in your room.
What we thought about Club Med Ixtapa...
I stayed at Club Med Ixtapa for over 3 weeks.  My hubby and I were absolutely impressed with the GO's, food, ammenities, activities and of course the nightly entertainment.  We stayed in a couples suite which was absolutely amazing and we hardly wanted to leave our room!  Our balcony was a stone's throw away from the Pacific Ocean below us!  The concierge program was great for those midnight snacks and a night cap!  We adventured around Ixtapa town and went over to Ixtapa Island a few times! This resort is a cheap $8 cab ride to downtown and a 10 minute walk to the ferry to Ixtapa Island.
